Tune in to Gettysburg’s Music Scene

On your next visit to Gettysburg, treat your inner musician to live musical entertainment around our historic town. Whether you like bluegrass, rock, period music, or something in between – you can find it in Gettysburg!

Day 1

Check out some of Gettysburg's awesome music festivals, like the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival.

Arrive in Gettysburg Friday evening and grab a bite to eat at a restaurant with live music. The Farnsworth House Inn Restaurant and Sweney’s Tavern often has period music in their beer garden in the summer months. Or stop by O’Rorke’s Family Eatery & Spirits for something more modern. Find more Gettysburg restaurants with live music here. After dinner, head downtown to do some shopping. If you happen to visit during First Friday, you’ll find many local musicians gracing the downtown shops and streets with their melodic tunes. Stay the night in one of Gettysburg’s relaxing accommodations. You’ll need your rest for the busy day ahead of you tomorrow!

Day 2

Wake up and head to one of Gettysburg’s annual music festivals. Maybe the Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival gets your toes tapping, or perhaps you prefer a trombone to a banjo and would rather come to town for the Gettysburg Brass Band Festival. After some music and lunch, catch a performance at the Majestic Theater. You never know who might be on stage – the Majestic Theater has had many big-name performers including Darlene Love and Graham Nash. Check out another restaurant featuring live music for dinner, or stop by one of our wineries or cideries to enjoy a drink and live musical entertainment before heading home.
