History & Heritage

Gettysburg is history – the question is, how do you want to experience that history?

If you are interested in the civilian story, you may want a guided tour of the town, or possibly a museum or house tour experience. Perhaps you wish to discover the history for yourself. One of the best ways to experience history is to watch it come alive in first person presentations and encampments.

Spring through fall, visitors are invited to walk through soldiers camps at local museums and on the National Park to interact and watch demonstrations. You will also find the history of Presidents Lincoln and Eisenhower, the only U.S. born Saint, motor racing and so much more. Create your historical vacation plan...

With but few minor changes and repairs, the house remains much as it did more than 150 years ago. Authentically furnished from cellar to attic.
