Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Historic Church Tours of Gettysburg offers year round educational and entertaining programs for groups. Dates and times can be arranged to meet your group's needs. Arrangements will be made with your choice of up to three of eight participating historic churches. A variety of programs relating to the hospital and civilian experiences during and after the battle will be presented. All programs are presented inside the churches by living historians, using actual first person accounts.
Tours (walking or by bus) are from one-half to two hours in length. While the regularly scheduled Wednesday evening programs are designed for the general public, school (ages 10+), church or adult groups will find them of particular interest.
