Celebrate the 4th of July in Gettysburg with The Willys, a patriotic pops concert and fireworks show.
Gettysburg College and its community partners are pleased to again present the 4th of July Patriotic Pops Concert and Fireworks, a fun and interactive family-friendly event. Popular local band, The Willys, will kick off the evening with a 90-minute set. Afterwards, the Gala Pops Orchestra will perform a concert featuring popular American tunes and marches. Immediately following the musical performance, guests will have a front row view of the fireworks display sponsored by Destination Gettysburg. The concert stage will be located at Memorial Field on the campus of Gettysburg College. This field is open for seating and located along Constitution Avenue between North Washington Street and West Lincoln Avenue.
Limited parking will be available on the campus of Gettysburg College. Follow signs to Constitution Lot, Stadium Lot, Bream Gym Lot, West Lincoln Avenue. The Constitution parking lot will be accessible through the east entrance and will have limited general parking. Some handicapped parking will be available along Constitution Avenue. Parking will not be permitted on, or along, Howard Avenue between Mummasburg Road and Biglerville Road (PA 34.) To ease congestion after the fireworks, Howard Avenue will be ONE WAY (Eastbound) only. All traffic coming South on Mummasburg Road will be directed East on Howard Avenue. No traffic leaving the campus area will be allowed to travel North on Mummasburg Road. All traffic traveling East from campus will be directed to Carlisle Street.
