Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Join the Gettysburg Heritage Center as we welcome author Thomas J. Ryan for a book signing. Thomas will be on hand to sign copies of his book, "Lee Is Trapped, and Must be Taken": Eleven Fateful Days after Gettysburg: July 4 - 14, 1863, which is the winner of the Edwin C. Bearss Scholarly Research Award.
There will be copies of the book available for purchase during the event. Anyone interested in an autographed copy, but unable to attend, may contact the Heritage Center to place an order that will be shipped following the event.
The Gettysburg Heritage Center will host other authors, and events during the Remembrance Day weekend. Please visit our website for a complete listing, www.GettysburgMuseum.com
