After Elizabeth Ann Seton died in 1821, Catherine left home, heartbroken by her mother’s death. The Sisters in Emmitsburg carried on, serving others and continuing Mother Seton’s legacy that lives on today. Over 20 years later, Catherine returns to reconnect with her roots.
On this living history tour, step back in time to the 1840s and see Catherine and other beloved friends as you explore our historic site with a guide. From them, you’ll learn about the inspirational life of Elizabeth Ann Seton, the obstacles she encountered and how her faith helped her overcome her struggles.
