Join us for a fun, FREE event for the entire family - National Civil War Museum Community FREE Day! As President Lincoln's Gettysburg Address encompassed the emotions of the American struggle, The National Civil War Museum portrays this struggle as a time line, from the issues straining the nation through the war's conclusion at Appomattox Court House. 

10am: Presentation with Kelly Elaine Navies (Smithsonian Museum Specialist) speaking on Juneteenth
11am: Firing Demonstrations and Artillery Displays by Thompson's & Cooper's Battery
11:30am: Victorian Dance Ensemble hosting dances in the museum's rotunda area
12:45pm: Firing Demonstrations and Artillery Displays by Thompson's & Cooper's Battery
1:30pm: Abraham Lincoln (portrayed by James Hayney) - Abraham Lincoln Comes to Set the Record Straight: Lies, Legends & Myths
2:30pm  Presentation with Michael Zucchero, author of Loyal Hearts: Histories of American Civil War Canines followed by a book signing
4pm  Firing Demonstrations and Artillery Displays by Thompson's & Cooper's Battery

All Day: Children's Activities: including clothing station and coloring station
