Join us for a celebration of Abraham Lincoln and his time in Gettysburg. This event is ideal for children and will make a memorable impact as they meet the very famous 16th President of the United States.
Begin with a walk with a Licensed Battlefield Guide at Soldiers' National Cemetery at 1pm. Learn about the story of how the cemetery came to be and the visit paid by President Lincoln on November 19, 1863 when he delivered one of the most famous speeches in American history.
Later in the evening at 6:30pm we will meet at the Dobbin House for dinner with President Lincoln himself. President Lincoln will move from table-to-table to meet and greet guests during the meal. Following dinner, President Lincoln will share recollections of his Gettysburg visit. The dinner menu will be a choice of Prime Rib, Hunter Style Chicken or Salmon.
The fourteen member B&B’s of the Inns of the Gettysburg Area will take reservations for a weekend stay, or in some cases, a Saturday night only stay in conjunction with the Saturday event. Tickets are available for the general public as well.
