Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
The community is invited to come out on Frist Friday to the Gettysburg Heritage Center for an Open House! Guests will be able to tour the museum, go through the Cellar Experience and watch the movie, "Gettysburg: An Animated Map". Also available that evening will be Victorian Carriage rides (first come, first served). These short, sample rides give you an idea of what it is like to take a battlefield or town tour! GettyPeds will have their scoot-coupes, scooters and electric bikes out on display so you can see what they're like, and find out more about the tours they offer!
Donations will be collected for Forever Love Pet Rescue, located just down the street from the Gettysburg Heritage Center.
A fun evening for the entire family! Come out and learn about all the great things the Gettysburg Heritage Center has to offer.
