Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Come visit one of Hanover’s oldest traditions, visiting Santa Claus in Center Square at the Santa’s Cabin! This tradition has been going on for over 80 years and has been kept alive through the donation of the Hanover Eagles with a brand new log cabin built to house Santa while he greets his visitors. Families can come for free throughout the holiday season to visit with Santa and ask for all kinds of goodies. Photography is also free and can be taken with any personal cameras desired. Santa gives out Utz Potato chips and the traditional candy cane to all child visitors. Come during any of Santa’s hours during the holiday season, he will certainly bring a smile to any child’s face.
