Since its opening in 2008, the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center has annually welcomed Adams County residents to four designated Community Appreciation Days. Adams County residents enjoy free admission to the Cyclorama painting, Film & Museum Experience at the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center. The first appreciation day of the year falls on Martin Luther King, Jr. Day.
Gettysburg National Military Park Museum & Visitor Center offers Adams County residents free admission to A New Birth of Freedom Film, the Gettysburg Cyclorama Painting with Sound and Light Effects and the 12-Gallery Gettysburg Museum of the American Civil War. The last film and cyclorama show will begin at 4 pm.
Local visitors should be prepared to show proof of Adams County residence, e.g., a driver’s license, to obtain tickets. Visitors are encouraged to arrive early. More visitor information can be found here.
