About Single Ventricle Survivorship Program at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia (CHoP):
Each year, approximately 3,000 children are born in the United States with complex heart defects. Improving the quality of life and finding new treatments for patients with single ventricle heart defects is one of the most pressing challenges in pediatric cardiology. While many of these patients lead highly functional and active lives after single ventricle surgery in childhood, they are at risk for certain health problems. The Single Ventricle Survivorship Program was created to focus attention on the challenges faced by these children and to help improve quality and duration of life. Visit the website.
