Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Come visit Trickling Springs on Saturday at our booth on Main Street in Chambersburg (off the town square) where we will be showcasing some delicious products for you! Warm up with a delicious cup of our signature hot cocoa made with farm fresh grass fed milk! Grab a cup of homemade, loaded baked potato soup or a variety of overstuffed sandwiches and don't forget dessert! We'll have freshly baked cookies that day.
About Ice Fest:
Pull out your favorite scarf and mittens, bundle the kids up and be sure to grab your camera; you won’t want to miss the faces of those that sit upon the giant ice throne for the first time or stand beside their favorite sculpture. You can also catch a glimpse of the carvers from DiMartino Ice sculpting right in front of your eyes! Skilled in their art form, these carvers have trained for many years and can turn a plain block of ice into just about anything. It’s amazing to watch. Events are scheduled throughout the four-day festival and include, but are not limited to, the official ribbon-cutting ceremony, live carvings, Snowfall Ball, Chili Cook-off, Polar Dunk Plunge, live glass blowing demonstrations, Icing on the Cake, the free double-wide ice slide and Run Your Ice Off 5K.
