Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
For kids who love to read, parents who want their kids to love to read and for budding history buffs everywhere. Our 2019 Winter Reading Adventures theme is: One Great Historical Adventure - Two Unique Stories. Every Saturday morning at 11 a.m. from January 5 through February 23 join a park educator who will read aloud two different children’s books about the same person, place or event. All programs are free of charge and open to the public. Visit the Park's website for the schedule. Schedule is subject to change.
