Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Santa Claus is coming to Mister Ed’s Elephant Museum & Candy Emporium for a free Santa Party! Families may come at any time during the event to meet Santa and take photos using their own camera. Other free activities include cookie decorating and Christmas list making and mailing. The event is held outdoors, so plan to dress accordingly.
Non-perishable food donations are being collected for the Adams County Food Pantry. For each item donated, receive a one dollar “Santa Buck” certificate to spend at Mister Ed’s, up to five per child.
Registration is not required. Families are encouraged to arrive throughout the event, avoiding the busiest time of Noon - 1 p.m. There is no rain date for the event.
