Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Participants (persons of all ages) will enjoy walking through beautiful downtown Gettysburg while matching artsy images from the event program with the participating business where they can be found. Businesses are within walking distance of the Scavenger Hunt’s starting and ending point, the Arts Education Center, where registration will begin at Noon. Cash prizes of $100, $50 and $25 will be awarded and are sponsored by ACAC board member, Brenda McCabe.
Participants should wear comfortable shoes and bring a clipboard, pen and camera/phone that takes photos. The cost is $10 per person; up to four persons are allowed on a team; children eight and under are free and not counted as a team member.
