Join the Gettysburg Heritage Center for an informative presentation as our summer 2018 programming continues!
In this presentation by Mark Quattrock, we will look at a couple of different aspects of the Confederate States Medical Department. First, we will look at how it was able to organize and build an organization from scratch. We will also take a look at the challenges they faced during the war and what they did to try and overcome them as well as the system that was used to treat and evacuate wounded off the field and the General Hospital system that was used. We will also talk about the accomplishments that were made by the Medical Department. And finally, we will be dispelling the myths that were created by TV and Hollywood.
