Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
On August 20, 1868, the Court of Quarter Sessions in Gettysburg granted the petition of the citizens of York Springs to incorporate as the Borough of York Springs. To celebrate this milestone there will be a community celebration on Saturday, August 25, 2018.
Community support has been overwhelming and we’re looking forward to an entire day of fellowship, fun and food at many different locations all over York Springs, followed by an evening of exciting entertainment featuring “Borderline” and a Spectacular Fireworks Display sponsored by Wolf’s Bus Lines and Paul’s Garage. Borderline has been together 23 years and plays a variety of new and old country, classic rock and oldies.
The day's events include:
Old-Fashioned Baseball Game
Band – Borderline
5K Run & Fun Walk
Self-Guided Walking Tour of York Springs
Health & Safety Exhibits
And so much more
