The 150th Pennsylvania Volunteer Infantry Regiment Field Hospital encampment will be onsite to help you discover the stories of the soldiers, surgeons and civilians of Gettysburg–just minutes from the battlefield. The living history group will portray two of four companies recruited from Crawford County, PA and the personnel who served in the Hospital Department during the Civil War.
A special program, “Civil War Apothecary: A look back into the medical chest (Pannier) at the medicines used during the Civil War” will also be held on Saturday, July 21 at 12:30pm in the lower level of the barn.
The site is open in summer on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays only through August 12. Access is via shuttle from the Gettysburg National Military Park Museum and Visitor Center. Shuttle tickets (Adults $6/Youth $2) are available at the ticket counter or by calling 877-874-2478.
