Gettysburg, The Aftermath

Living History Event

This farm was the home of the Confederate Second Corps Field Hospital and General Johnson's Division Headquarters. 

The American Living History Education Society will provide, to the public, a look into the lives after the horrific battle of Gettysburg.  They will present live interactive demonstrations with medical, Christian, and sanitary commissions, the civilians of Gettysburg, Ladies Relief Societies writing letters home for the soldiers, blacksmithing skills, wagon repairs, cooking, and seamstresses.

There will be Union and Confederate Generals and their respective staff's to provide insights on the battle.  The Adventure Scouts, a fife and drum, will provide period music.  A Sunday morning church service will be held at 9am in the barn and is open to the public. Firing drills for artillery, infanty and cavalry will also be demonstrated. Refreshments will be provided by a local food and drink vendor.

Come enjoy this fun, family friendly event!  Spectator cost is $10 for adults 16 years and older.  Children under 16 are free.
