A Portrait of Three Artists - Connecting History through Art

Adams County, known around the world for the American Civil War and President Lincoln's famous Gettysburg Address, is known locally as a family community built on dedication, respect of the land, fresh air and relationships. We work hard and we play hard. We invite strangers into our community and our homes and we make them friends. The stories of Adams County are what make our destination special, we hope that you will discover people you wish to meet and places you just can't wait to see...

Adams County is home to many artists. Many of these artists capture the history of the Battle, the 1863 civilians, the soldiers and the famous battle sites. This is the story of three of those artists: Wendy Allen, Dale Gallon and Charles Joyce. There is a common passion for their work, the history and connecting the people of today with the stories of our past. We invite you to listen to their story and on your next visit, stop by their galleries or one of the many shops, like Gallery 30, where you can find their work. Maybe art will draw you back in time.
