The level in which we assist journalists is based on our evaluation of a journalist’s assignment, scope of story, audience and social media reach. Depending on the story assignment, Destination Gettysburg can assist with accommodations, passes to attractions, meals, escorts, etc.
Please note that complimentary arrangements are provided at the discretion of the host business and are subject to availability. Black-out periods can occur that may necessitate a press rate, particularly at hotels.
Journalists are responsible for their own transportation to and from Gettysburg. However, Destination Gettysburg can assist in transportation in and around Gettysburg and Adams County as part of the tour.
In addition, please understand that our primary concern is assisting working media, and host locations are not always able to accommodate accompanying spouses, children, friends and other family members.
At the discretion of Destination Gettysburg, travel writers may bring a guest or family members on media tours. However, those guests may be responsible for the cost of his or her own meals and/or attractions.
