"The Abbey" was built in 1830 through 1933 and is 1824 square feet. President Eisenhower and his wife Mamie use to visit this home! President Eisenhower's secretary use to own this property. The home is located on almost two acres of park-like setting in the Gettysburg area. This ideal location is 7 miles to the famous Gettysburg battlefield where the Civil War was fought. It is only two to three miles in either direction from wineries.
If you wish, your time at "The Abbey" can be packed full of many things to do. At "The Abbey" there is a historic barn to view and a beautiful historic cottage. If you love to take walks, there is almost two acres that includes trees that are hundreds of years old, and if you want to have an old fashioned picnic and dress in costume of the Victorian or Edwardian era, 1920's or Civil War and walk the grounds of "The Abbey" we welcome it!
