Spring at the Gettysburg Heritage Center is a wonderful time of year. It is a new season, with plenty of new and exciting things happening!
The store begins to blossom with new products in preparation for the upcoming tour season. During this time, the nearly 2000 sqaure foot gift shop is filled with apparel, books, home decor, collectibles, games & toys, replica weapons, jewelry, and much more! Many of the items you find are specific to Gettysburg or the Civil War, but not all! The Heritage Center also carries an extensive collection of gifts and home decor that is beyond Civil War.
Spring also brings the return of our weekend living history encampments! Visitors are able to see what life was like for the soldiers. A few camps be set up in April, and more will begin to take place as the weather clears and warms up into the spring and summer months. The best part about the camps is they are free for visitors to explore, and typically offer special presentations and demonstrations! Be sure to check the Heritage Center website for exact weekend dates that the camps will be set-up.
Come and explore the Gettysburg Heritage Center! One of Gettysburg's best kept secrets!
