Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Beech Springs Farm and Savor Gettysburg Food Tours have partnered for a “Field-to-Fork Agritourism Experience” Tour.
The tour is perfect for experienced foodies and those just expanding their interest in farm-grown food and cooking. Designed for a limited group of 12 guests to ensure that everyone has a full and personal experience, the tour culminates at Beech Springs Farm where a local chef will prepare a fabulous meal. Join us for an all-day journey traveling the historic roads of Adams County spending time on local farms, harvesting seasonal produce, sampling local wine and cider and hand picking local farm products. Upon arrival at Beech Springs Farm, all of the products collected through the day will be incorporated into a fresh, delicious meal that will be served (weather dependent) under the spreading arms of the farm's enormous maple tree. We can’t wait to show you all that our Gettysburg farmlands have to offer!
