Day 1: After you've settled in to your hotel and have had lunch

  • Leadership briefing by your tour guide 
  • Afternoon walking tour of downtown Gettysburg
  • Evening on your own to explore

Day 2: World War II in Gettysburg

  • Peace Light Memorial dedicated by President Franklin D. Roosevelt
  • President John F. Kennedy (WWII Navy Veteran) visit to the battlefield in 1963
  • Camp Sharpe psychological warfare training camp
  • U.S. Navy map-making office
  • German POW camp
  • Eisenhower's personal tour for the Gettysburg battlefield
  • Winston Churchill's colorful review of Pickett's Charge
  • Inside stories of the visits by Bernard Montgomery, Winston Churchill and Charles de Gaulle to the battlefield
  • Camp Michaux POW camp and Japanese interrogation facility 
  • Optional dinner: Eisenhower Barbecue using the President's menu of his favorite recipes

Day 3: Bus Tour: Eisenhower National Historic SIte

  • Private guided tour of Dwight and Mamie's home and farm
  • Gettysburg National Cemetery
  • Final resting place of 1,600 veterans of World War II (500 killed in combat)
