Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Be part of it all as we delight in the annual parade, light the great tree in the Lincoln Square, and sing Christmas carols together to bring in the holiday season. Enjoy a variety of bands, floats, costumed characters, distinguished guests, dancers, youth groups and, of course, Santa Claus!
The Parade will form on Lefever Street in front of Lincoln Elementary beginning at 6pm. It will move out onto Baltimore Street beginning at 7pm. It will follow Baltimore Street down to Lincoln Square, turn on York Street, and then onto Liberty Street and disband in the general area of the Middle School. Rain date is December 4 at the same time.
We are honored to have the US Army Old Guard Fife and Drum Corps lead this year's parade! They are the official escort and ceremonial unit to the President of the United States. After the parade, Santa's Shanty will be open on the Square for the children.
