Yes we have a famous battlefield to tour by car, bicycle, horseback, and even on foot but we boast a wealth of activities beyond those historic acres.
From historic taverns to ethnic cuisine, farm-to-table dining to unique edibles, the tastes of Gettysburg are sure to please every palate.
With adventures to suit every budget, Gettysburg and Adams County businesses offer plenty of packages to help visitors create their dream vacations.
Licensed Guide Roy Frampton will lead us on a walk around the National Cemetery at 1:00pm on April 7. Be sure to ask him to tell the story of how he located the podium where the President delivered the Gettysburg Address! In the evening we meet at the Dobbin House Restaurant for dinner with the President, portrayed by Robert Costello. We will form a receiving line where each guest is greeted by the President and he will circulate during dinner and then offer remarks after the meal. This is a memorable day stepping back into time to learn more about one of the important events in American history. Suitable for families.
