The Second (or Third) Battle of Gettysburg: Battlefield Preservation in the Modern Era

Join historian Garry Adelman for this lively presentation covering the people, the methods and the fascinating, even if recent, history to protect, preserve and interpret the Battle of Gettysburg. From Fairfield to East Cavalry Field and from Big Round Top to Barlow's Knoll, learn about the often contentious fights and heroic deeds that comprise the modern battlefield preservation movement. These triumphs and controversies, from Lee's Headquarters to casinos can be likened to another, collective Battle of Gettysburg.
